Introducing: 1L+

I am pleased to formally introduce 1L+, whom I mentioned a month ago but is just only starting to blog now. That "L" ain't for nothing.

1L+ is a joint J.D/Ph.D student at a Top Ten law school somewhere in the United States, and at present that's all I'm at liberty to say about that. Well, and maybe that he does social sciencey stuff and takes typical sit-around-a-round-table-and-talk-smart grad student classes. Except this year, his 1L year, in which he is stuck in legal research and writing and the foundational bar courses. Fun!

1L+ is interested in medical malpractice, torts, regulatory policy, administrative law, sociology and tax policy. He is more interesting than this sounds though. Give him a chance.

1L+ likes football, crappy primetime TV shows, and The Simpsons. One of his favorite books is Becoming Justice Blackmun. He can eat pizza every day of the week, and very frequently does.

Originally from a very sunny, tropical place, 1L+ is ironically allergic to sunlight and hates hot weather. He would be very happy if it were always 55 to 60 degrees F. He is the only person I know who likes cold Ethan Frome-ish winters. He pops his collars and makes his turkey sandwiches with mustard and Colby Jack cheese.

Please welcome 1L+!
